OUTSpoken Pride Poetry Slam - 10th Anniversary

PEERS Alliance is proud to host the 10th and final edition of OUTspoken Poetry Slam as part of Pride PEI’s 2025 Pride Week Celebrations and this one’s for the books!

Join us for the Sunset Edition of OUTspoken, a night honouring ten years of unapologetic Island queer poetry. We’ll be spotlighting ten standout poets from the past decade of OUTspoken events; voices that have lit up our stages, made us cry, laugh, rage, and feel over the years. These ten will bring the house down one last time with their righteous, raw, and resonant slams.

But it doesn’t end there, after our featured poets, we’ll open the mic for a limited number of folks who want to share a poem of their own. Sign-up will be first come, first served at the door.

To close the night, we’re thrilled to welcome the incredibly talented, raw musical stylings of everyone's favourite rascal-about-town, Joce Reyome! Stick around for some tunes, refreshments, and time to mingle, reminisce, and celebrate this final chapter.

We are endlessly grateful to PEERS Alliance, Pride PEI, and Katie Perry Designs for their support in making this event, and the decade that came before it, possible.

OUTspoken is free and sober. While all-ages are welcome, the night may include themes of sexuality, resistance, heartbreak, ecstasy, and all the beautiful mess in between.

Come celebrate a decade of OUTspoken with us. Let’s slam one last time.

DRY HAPPY HOUR SERIES: First Aid Training

EmpowerFirst CPR & First Aid is a 2-hour, trauma-informed course designed to help participants feel confident stepping in during emergencies. With a focus on accessible, stigma-free learning, this course teaches hands-only CPR, how to use an AED, and how to respond to opioid poisoning with Naloxone.

We emphasize de-stigmatizing substance use, encouraging compassionate support, and building the confidence to act rather than assume someone else will. This course is ideal for community members, youth, caregivers, and anyone who wants to be a safe, helpful presence in a crisis.
