Resources from the community, for the community

This is Pride PEI +

A growing hub of practical knowledge and resources for our community

Welcome to Pride PEI +, a growing hub of practical knowledge, tools, and resources designed to support financial confidence, creative independence, and sustainable entrepreneurship.

Here you will find foundational learning topics, including financial basics and money management, alongside curated resources from our community programs. This space brings together learning materials from the Common Cents Club archives and the Learning Labs developed through our Queer Entrepreneurship Program, delivered with funding support from CQCC.

  • Common Cents Club is a community based financial literacy program developed in partnership with PEITN and shaped through small scale pilot sessions over the past year. Created in response to the financial barriers faced by many 2SLGBTQIA+ people, the program offers a judgement free, open, and anonymous space to build confidence around money.

Through guided conversations and practical tools, participants develop a shared financial language, explore topics such as debt, account fees, and monthly expenses, and set meaningful short and long term financial goals. These include building an emergency fund and imagining future investments. Common Cents Club centers care, accessibility, and community based learning alongside trusted financial professionals.

  • Queer Entrepreneurship was a community driven program designed to support 2SLGBTQI+ entrepreneurs on Epekwitk, including business owners, startup founders, artists, musicians, creators, and folks with side hustles. The program was rooted in community consultation and informed by a 2SLGBTQI+ Entrepreneurship Gap Analysis conducted by PRIDE PEI earlier in the year.

Through questionnaires, community conversations, and a series of learning labs, the program centered the lived experiences and needs of queer entrepreneurs on the island. Insights gathered directly from participants shaped Minding Our Business, a queer entrepreneurial learning series that ran from November 2025 to March 2026. The sessions featured workshops, shared learning, and practical tools for sustainable growth.

Workshops focused on skill building, knowledge sharing, and strengthening community connections. The recordings and resources shared here are intended to serve as an ongoing learning hub for current and aspiring queer entrepreneurs on the island.
