Dry Happy Hour Series - Queer? In this Economy?

  • The Arts Guild 111 Queen Street Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, C1A 4B3 Canada (map)

Join us for an interactive, community-based financial wellness workshop with The Common Cents Club! Designed to make money conversations more accessible, practical, and a little less intimidating.

Hosted by Wilma Checklear, this session will move through three facilitated learning stations:

  • Money saving tips & tricks

  • Credit cards & credit scores

  • Savings: where to start

We’ll begin with a 10-minute group welcome and overview before participants rotate through each station, spending approximately 20 minutes at each. Facilitators will guide conversation, share tools and insights, and invite participants to contribute their own experiences and strategies. Key ideas will be captured and shared throughout.

At the end of the session, facilitators will share highlights from each station so everyone leaves with a full picture of the discussion. Participants will also receive a takeaway worksheet to reflect on key learnings and identify three action items, with completed sheets entered into a draw for a gas card or grocery gift certificate.

Whether you're building your financial foundation or looking to swap practical tips with others, this session is designed to meet you where you're at.
