Evan McCosham
Evan McCosham is an in-demand freelance musician, writing, recording and performing internationally with artists such as Coyote, David Myles, Logan Richard, Dylan Menzie, KINLEY, Campbell & Johnston, Andrew Waite, Joce Reyome, Adyn Townes, and dozens more. Notable awards to his name include an East Coast Music Award for Pop Recording of the Year (Coyote 2016) and Music PEI’s Musician of the Year award (2018).
Born and currently living in PEI, Evan studied music at Humber College in Toronto and Holland College in Charlottetown. After playing in the pit for several productions at the Confederation Centre of the Arts' Charlottetown Festival, he is currently the primary bassist and associate music director for Craig Fair Music Productions — an exciting and growing theatrical live music company in PEI.
Outside of performing, Evan has worked in administrative roles with the PEI Symphony Orchestra and with Music PEI, and provides music arranging/notation services to individuals and groups across Canada. As an educator, Evan has taught privately, in college settings, and with Island Rock Camps. Evan’s diverse background also includes experience in stage management, grant writing, and sound production. He brings strong critical thinking, group leadership skills, and quick learning to each project he becomes involved with and eagerly welcomes new opportunities to grow and collaborate within his community.
