Proud Mugs Pottery Workshop

  • Founders Food Hall & Market Prince Street Charlottetown, PE, C1A 5A3 Canada (map)

Join us to paint a ceramic travel cup with Julia (she/her/queer) of TATA Ceramics Charlottetown. In this pottery workshop for queers and allies of all ages, you will learn how to glaze a cup that Julia has thrown on the potter‘s wheel for you. Using a large variety of ceramic glaze colors you can get creative and design your very own proud mug to celebrate and remember Pride. With all tools provided Julia will explain the process and help you accomplish your ideas.

No previous knowledge is required. Let’s have fun in a relaxed environment at the Mezzanine level at Founder’s Hall, which will be reserved for us. Tickets can be purchased on a sliding scale basis, including pay it forward ticket options!

PLEASE NOTE: Should you be facing financial barriers that don’t allow you to purchase a ticket please contact info@pridepei.ca to claim one of our PAY IT FORWARD tickets for this event!

After the workshop Julia will fire your new favorite mug within 1-2 weeks in a pottery kiln to make it food safe, dishwasher- and microwave friendly. The pieces will then be ready for pickup in Charlottetown or can be shipped within Canada for a small fee.
